Virtual Reality Learning Environments (VRLEs) can be effective in bridging the gap between online and conventional learning, enabling students and instructors to control their avatars in 3D simulated classrooms or laboratories.
In a VRLE, students and instructors can interact with the environment, communicate and collaborate with peers, and engage in educational tasks, providing and receiving real-time feedback.

The project uses the VRChat platform (a free-to-use multiplayer online Social VR platform) to support the creation of Higher Education Institutions-tailored VRLEs. These VRLEs can then be incorporated into diverse course curricula.
These are some of the virtual classrooms, where both students and teachers use avatars, and actively engage with the lesson’s teaching materials in a more immersive and interactive way.

The use of gamification techniques also contributes to deepen this engagement and pursuit of lessons’ goals.
