A secure, limited Internet, but one that allows prisoners to access higher education through technology. This is how EducOnline@pris can be summarised.

The EducOnline@pris Digital Campus is a project developed in partnership between Universidade Aberta (UAb) and the Directorate-General for Reintegration and Prison Services (DGRSP) that promotes education and training in Portugal’s prisons.

The Campus aggregator portal was created on the basis of two Moodle platforms, focusing on the most important educational content management services. In addition to these two learning systems, Campus also has a third aggregated digital resource platform – Virtual School – which allows inmate students to access content from all subject areas.
